Toledo Rowing Club Adaptive Rowing Program

What is Adaptive Rowing?
Adaptive rowing is rowing or sculling for those with disabilities. The equipment is “adapted” to meet the needs of the rower.

Adaptive Rowing in Toledo
If you spend any time at the boathouse in Toledo, you will hear about adaptive rowing. Toledo has a proud history of adaptive rowing dating to the 1980s.
The adaptive rowing program was reinvigorated during the 2008 season. A matching grant from the Ability Center of Greater Toledo has allowed the purchase new equipment, and adaptive events are once again part of the Frogtown Races International Regatta.
