The Toledo Rowing Club has an active and growing Masters rowing program. With skill levels ranging from beginner to competitive rower, there is a program perfect for you!
Learn to Row Days
New to the sport? Learn to Row days are a perfect way to get an introduction to rowing. Start off with a boathouse tour and end with a quick row on the Maumee River with qualified, experienced TRC rowers!
Get ready to race, or just improve your overall fitness and technique. A great way to stay in shape, meet new friends, and compete in regattas all around the region. (Hint: A Master is any rower who is 21 years or older in the calendar year)
Learn the fundamentals to be proficient in sculling the Maumee and become certified to take out TRC doubles and singles.
Masters Novice – Summer Rowing
It doesn’t matter if you are continuing your education from our annual Learn-to-Row or beginning fresh, this summer program will get you ready to join the Masters team in the fall. You will spend the first practice days on indoor rowing machines in order to learn the rowing stroke. Eventually you will transition to taking actual strokes on the water! Before you know it you will be racing in the Frogtown Regatta!
